Ø Proven sales professional with a minimum of 5 years direct sales experience within a premium sales organisation
Ø Previous Middle East, Leisure and Corporate Sales experience preferred
Ø Understanding of the Middle East Market (both Corporate & Leisure)
Ø Educated to degree or equivalent
Ø Previous Luxury London experience preferred
Ø Polished and professional communication skills – verbal and written
Ø Excellent standards of personal presentation
Ø Understanding of Opera programmes would be an advantage
Main Scope of Job:
By application of professional and advanced sales skills, develop and maintain an account base across all key segments, generating revenue and new business for The Park Tower and identifying leads for all Central London Hotels
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Ø Overall responsibility for all segments including the key Middle East Accounts and activities
Ø To take responsibility for an allocated portfolio of accounts, undertaking complete account management, taking responsibility for maintaining, servicing, contracting and developing your allocated account base.
Ø To create and implement Strategic Action plans for all Key Accounts and Key Prospect Accounts and meet monthly with Market Director London to report on progress.
Ø To follow key sales activities including site inspections, client appointments, promotions, familiarisation trips and sales trips to deliver increased market penetration and revenue production goals.
Ø To conduct domestic and international sales-trips focusing on strengthening existing and building new relationships to deliver increased account penetration and revenues.
Ø To participate in sales blitzes, trade shows, workshops and exhibitions as appropriate.
Ø To build and efficiently and effectively maintain a database of all clients.
Ø To set and agree an effective tracking procedure for activities and results, and participate in regular review sessions with the DOS and GM
Ø To negotiate rates for both new and existing accounts within the set parameters of the hotels’ overall strategies.
Ø Devise and co-ordinate campaigns/offers to target and maximise opportunities from leisure and group operators.
Ø Actively search for new corporate/leisure Middle East accounts
Ø To nurture and proactively manage Key Accounts and New business account lists to drive Group and Meetings/Banqueting Revenue for The Park Tower Hotel
Ø To maintain full and accurate knowledge of the competitive sets of The Park Tower, monitor competitor activity and adjust strategy accordingly to market needs and trends.
Ø To assist in collating a complete the annual Business Plan, in conjunction with other members of the Sales & Revenue team.
Ø To complete a weekly sales report, detailing activities and financial results in line with company standards, goals and targets.
Ø Attend weekly Complex Sales meetings and other meetings as required.
Ø Familiarise yourself with all hotel operations and ensure effective communication between departments to ensure delivery of excellent guest service as appropriate.
Ø To actively participate in the Engagement Survey process and support action plans to address issues within the department.
Ø Leverage activities with The Marriott Luxury GSO teams globally and their managed account base to gain share for The Park Tower Hotel
Ø Align The Park Tower Sales Action plan to the Marriott London Complex Sales Intensity Plans
Ø Attend and deliver proactive input to the fortnightly Strategy Meetings
Ø Liaise with Complex Marketing and Revenue teams when required on relevant activities/actions that relate to sales.
