Shaner Hotels, a leading owner / operator / developer of hospitality properties, has a great opportunity for an experienced Chief Engineer to join our team at the new McHenry Row Courtyard by Marriott in Baltimore, MD. This stunning new 126 room property is currently under construction in the McHenry Row development in Baltmore and is expected to open in Fall 2019. McHenry Row is less than a mile from the Maryland Cruise Terminal and less than 2 miles from M&T Stadium and Horseshoe Casino.

The Chief Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of the engineering department to include the proper operation, maintenance, preventative maintenance and repair of all heating ventilation, refrigeration and mechanical equipment.  The selected candidate must develop, coordinate and monitor a maintenance program to ensure safety, security and comfort to all staff and guests.  Tasks also include supervision, training and managing of all engineering/security staff in accordance with the standards of Shaner Hotels.

  • 5+ years of experience in a full-service hotel
  • Knowledge of all mechanical equipment critical to the operation of the building; proper chemical handling & disposal.
  • Ability to provide excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
