An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Restaurant & Bar department for a Restaurant & Bar Supervisor to join our team! The role is a full time position of 40 hours.
What are we looking for?
To successfully fill this role, you will ideally possess and demonstrate the following qualifications, behaviours, skills and values:
Previous experience working within a Food & Beverage or similar environment essential
Strong Communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
Pro-active and reliable
Be able to work a variety of shifts including weekends and evenings
Education or Certification
- Good level of English essential
What will I be doing?
To have full product knowledge of hotel services/facilities, all menu items and their service, in order to maximise guest satisfaction and sales opportunities with each guest contact.
Supervises daily shift operations and ensures compliance with all F&B policies, standards and procedures.
Understands and maintains standards for bartender and cocktail service.
Understands beverage control including days on hand; perpetual inventory; bar pars; portion control; costs controls; beverage potentials; mix of sales analysis for beverage; issue & returns; food standards; and period end inventory.
Maintains food handling and sanitation standards.
Ensures the restaurant, bar and room service outlets are clean with professionally produced food/drink menus and table top items consistent with the offerings and ambience.
Trains staff and monitors adherence to all cash handling and credit policies and procedures.
Programs the point of sale system and ensures proper controls are in place.
Supervises staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs and financial objectives are met.
Helps train associates in safety procedures and supervises their ability to execute departmental and hotel emergency procedures.
Sets a positive example for guest relations.
Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels; effectively responds to and handles guest problems and complaints.
Empowers associates to provide excellent customer service. Ensures associates understand expectations and parameters.
