Job Purpose: Two to three sentences describing the overall purpose of the job

Conduct cash and charge transactions for the employee cafeteria in an efficient manner.

Job Responsibilities: Maximum of ten responsibilities, in order of percentage of time spent on functions from longest to shortest; do not list anything that doesnot represent at least 10% of the job's time. Please include supervisory responsibilities.

1.

Conduct cash and charge transactions for the employee Cafeteria. Receive payment by cash, credit card or employee ID.

2.

Issue receipts and change due to employees.

3.

Maintain an accurate cash bank and prepare balance reports at the end of each shift. Follow all cash handling procedures.

4.

Ensure that an adequate supply of change is on hand at all times.

5.

Determine the prices of food items and tabulate bills using cash registers.

6.

Maintain a clean and orderly check out area.

7.

Perform opening and closing duties as required.

8.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications: Describe the minimum qualifications needed to complete the job responsibilities.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience

Minimum of six months cash handling experience preferred. Good communication skills required. Familiarity with cash registers, calculatorsor adding machines preferred.
