JOB SUMMARY

 

 

  • Supervise and coach subordinates to ensure all service standards and all necessary follow up work is carried out on time
  • Be responsible for soliciting new catering accounts, entertaining and maintaining relationships with existing accounts to meet and/or exceed food & beverage revenue goals
  • Oversee client functions for ensuring the highest standard has been met to exceed customer satisfaction 

CANDIDATE PROFILE 

Education and Experience

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 4 years experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area.

OR

  • 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area 

 Preferred:   

  • Demonstrated skills in supervising a team

  • Lodging sales experience

  • Hotel industry work experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance   

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

  • Participate in strategic planning of sales campaigns along with Director of Catering & Event Management to launch an effective strategic plan
  • Develop banquet menus pricing and revenue minimums using current competitive date

  • Advise and consults with the Executive Chef, Banquet Manager and Food and Beverage Manager to retain  a high quality of banquet food, beverage and service

  • Manage and administer the catering department to ensure smooth operations and all daily tasks are completed according to standard and time management

  • Issue BEOs for group and affiliates 7 days prior to events

  • Demonstrate effective and proper interaction with guests while containing a professional approach and image

  • Monitors and reports on market and competitor within own market segment

  • Carry out other tasks as directed by director of Catering

 

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Must be able to fluently speaking, reading, and writing in English language
  • Require excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Capable of communicate to gain what customer needs and resolve complaints

  • Be Able to develop new accounts, as well as identify a market trend

  • Require Leadership skills with ability to supervise, coach, and encourage multiple levels of managers and employees

  • Be excellent interpersonal and sales-related skill

  • Acquire extensive knowledge of meeting room capacities, banquet set-up. Audio-visual and any other pertinent details relating to function room set-up
