Job Summary
 
 

The Assistant Thakuru provides safe, courteous buggy transportation for guests to assigned destinations in a cheerful and enthusiastic manner. He/She provides accurate and current information to guests about the resort. He/She also assist with arrivals, departures, room moves and meet and greet services to be conducted on a regular basis. The Assistant Thakuru also acts as an assistant to the Thakuru team in regards to any help they require to ensure a smooth guest interaction and completion of guest requests. This includes, but is not limited to luggage service, setup of special dining arrangements, cleanliness of the arrival and departure area and preparation for the seaplane operation.


 


Within the role, the Assistant Thakuru greets and escorts guests and supplies them with directions and information regarding property amenities, services, hours of operation, and local areas of interest and activities. The Assistant Thakuru delivers items (e.g., messages, mail, faxes, packages, flowers) to guest rooms and assists all guests and visitors in and out of buggies, including assisting with transporting luggage. The position requires to inspect parts, equipment, and vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulation, polishes luggage carts and parks vehicle in designated location when not in use. He/She inspects property vehicles for damage and checks tire pressure and fluid levels for property vehicle, and refuel/ recharge as necessary. The Assistant Thakuru notifies appropriate personnel of any vehicle maintenance needs and documents all vehicle incidents (i.e., damages, accidents) by providing reports of incidents to manager/supervisor.


 


The Assistant Thakuru follows all company policies and procedures, and reports accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to his/her manager. He/She maintains awareness of undesirable persons on property premises and ensures uniform and personal appearances are clean, professional and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information. He/She welcomes and acknowledges all guests, anticipates and address guests’ service needs, assists individuals with disabilities, and thanks guests with genuine appreciation. The Assistant Thakuru speaks with others using clear and professional language, and answers telephones using appropriate etiquette. He/She develops and maintains positive working relationships with others and complies with quality assurance expectations and standards. The Assistant Thakuru stands, sits or walks for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. He/She moves, lifts, carries, pushes, pulls and places objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. The Assistant Thakuru performs other reasonable job duties as requested.
