ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the Pool areas. These areas should be kept in a neat, tidy and sanitary manner in accordance with the Fitness Manager/Spa Director and Health and Safety Standards.

  • To help with the development of the Pool systems and procedures and to make sure that they are kept up to date on a regular basis.

  • To provide direct personal assistance/support to the Spa Director/Fitness Manager whenever appropriate and to ensure the provision of an effective service for the Pool area.

  • Must attend all training courses and department meetings as deemed necessary, and must adhere to training as set down by the Fitness Manager.

  • Instruct aqua fit classes and other activities in accordance with the Fitness Manager.

  • To assist in the day to day running of the pool area.

  • To successfully cross promote SPA services by the Pool

  • Responsible for stock of pool chemicals and ensure a par stock level appropriate to the business demands.

  • General supervision of the pool area.

  • Will be expected to aid Fitness staff in setting up for classes and clearing away after.

  • To receive training to ensure that all-relevant legislation pertaining to the Health and Safety at Work Law and Health and Hygiene standards are implemented and monitored within the pool.

  • Responsible for performing the daily plant room procedures, water balance and tests and maintain correct PH levels of pool.




 

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

  • To maintain a high standard of appearance and personal hygiene as laid down by the Fitness Manager/Spa Director.

  • Courtesy to guests and other members of staff at all times.

  • To deal with all problems, enquiries and complaints as per the departments standard procedure.

  • To attend to guests in the relaxation and waiting areas ensuring that they are comfortable as well as offering drinks.

  • Will perform as a professional with a friendly business attitude and conduct all duties and responsibilities as required by the position or assigned by the Fitness Manager or Spa Director.

  • Covering the reception if necessary.

 

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Must be able to assist guests with inquiries

  • Must be able to speak and write in English

  • Must be able to speak and write in a language any other than English
