Butler is the main contact between the guest and the hotel service departments to act and facilitate all guest request and services to achieve guest satisfaction and loyalty at all given times;


  1. Maintains seamless interaction with guests in order to facilitate guest recognition, obtain preferences, anticipate guest needs and proactively action all their requests & requirements;

  2. Ensures the privacy and security of all guests;

  3. Fully responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the pantry;

  4. Ensures each area is correctly stocked & operationally prepared at all times according to set standards.

  5. Handle electrical and technical equipment’s in the room and pantry;

  6. Maintains a full & comprehensive knowledge of the products and services available in the Hotel and the local area;

  7. Carries out guest check in, check out, cashiering and other administrative tasks as per  the standard;

  8. Take and serve food and beverages to the guests, while presenting them to the guest in an orderly manner.

  9. Sets Up and inspect room as per the guest preferences in accordance with the St. Regis Doha standard.

  10. Maintains full control over the Private Bar settings, posting, replenishment, stock rotation and Inventory;

  11. Abides by all hotel and company policies and procedures including Health and Safety policies, Butlers Grooming standards, punctuality/ attendance procedures and Quality standards;

  12. Attend the daily briefing and meeting;

  13. Attend the training as when assigned;

  14. Update guest preferences in the hotel system.

  15. Attend to all guest calls and enquiry.

  16. Coordinate with all other departments for all guest requests and services;

  17. Keep track of all work order and liaise with related department for action;

  18. Prepare guest itinerary wit initiative and offer services prioritizing and promoting our property first before suggesting outside sources.

  19. Act on behalf of the guests for all booking and confirmation; Promote loyalty program to all guests and the benefits that comes with it.

  20.  (Preferences,Amenities,maintenance and service calls);

  21. Communicate and constantly provides feedback with the management team;

  22. Escort guest within the hotel for hotel show around, SPA, Business Center or F&B outlets;

  23. Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management;

  24. Supervises the household (Hotel) over-all chores in a professional manner and should be met by the guest in every request giving impeccable services;

  25. Provides the best presentation of the suite rooms offering the Butler  Signature Services and make a lasting “wow” impression;

  26. Rectifying glitches by meeting the guests personally, resolving the issue with utmost    commitment to go beyond guest’s expectations and making the guest stay memorable.

  27. In room check- in to be done especially for VIP guests and guests arriving with our hotel car for a more comfortable and smooth check- in.

  28. Reports all defects and issues the room, not limited to;(guest corridors, housekeeping issues, engineering issues)

  29. Reporting and informing glitches, issues and concerns of the guests to the Senior Butler and or the Head Butler. And assuring that these issues/ glitches has been rectified efficiently in accordance to the St. Regis standards.

  30. Responsible for the overall operation of amenities which includes ordering and placing the amenities.


  • Ensure full liaison with other members of the team

  • Strong communication with the other departments, especially Front Office, Reservations, Food Beverage team, Concierge and HK

  • Strong relationship with guests and internal customers

  • Key relationship with Head Butler ,Butler Supervisor


  • Assistant butlers should be able to speak, write and converse fluently  in English

  • Assistant butlers should be able to handle and serve food and drinks, table settings, table set-up

  • Assistant butlers should be able to stand 8 hours a day maintaining a smile and positive attitude

  • Assistant butlers should be proactive and punctual

  • Assistant butlers must be able to set up amenities in the room, prepare the guest room according to the amenity and preference
