Job Summary
 

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:


To set up the buffet for Breakfast and to ensure that the buffet is replenished during service time.

  1.  

  2. To ensure that the Executive Lounge is tidy and the Pantry is prepared, stocked and ready for service.

     

  3. To greet all guests, using the guest’s name as often as possible.

     

  4. To complete the Food and Beverage Requisition for the Executive Lounge and to collect the Requisition. To maintain the Par Levels.

     

  5. To maintain highest level of cleanliness, including safety of Coffee Machine, fixtures and fittings.

     

  6. To do the mise-en-place for the next day.

     

  7. To comply with 39 point checklist, and food handling procedures.

     

  8. To have the knowledge to explain all buffet items to Guests.

     

  9. Responsible for the safe keeping of all keys.

     

  10. To ensure that all food and beverage products are correctly stored, dated, labelled and rotated where necessary.

     

  11. To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene, and meet hotel grooming and uniform standards.

     

  12. To maintain healthy inter-departmental relationships.

     

  13. To be empowered to deal with guest problems, through following the LEARN process and complete guest response forms, and to seek advice when unsure what to do.

     

  14. To promote awareness of health, safety and security within the department for associates and guests. Example: fire alert points, exits, extinguishers, table clips.

     

  15. To develop self and others, by responding to and giving feedback to other associates.

     

  16. To follow service excellence standards at all times.

     

  17. To carry-out any other duty/function that may be assigned by immediate Supervisor
