The Group Sales Manager will sell business travelers and hotel services to new and existing clientele using a variety of sales methods, including cold calling, telephone solicitation, direct mail, client entertainment, etc. The Sales Manager will be responsible for meeting personal sales goals and completing action plans. The Sales Manager will interface with other hotel departments, especially Front Desk and Reservations, and will report to the Director of Sales & Marketing. Essential Functions: Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel both orally and in written form to previous, current, and potential clients. Manage all account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented. Develop and implement monthly marketing strategies based on existing action plans.

Previous hotel sales management experience - a minimum of two years - is required. A four-year degree and experience with Delphi or similar system is preferred. Required is a good, functional knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel plus excellent communication skills, in both spoken and written word. The drive to meet and exceed both client expectations and sales goals is required.
