As a Night Auditor you will be asked to complete end-of-day activities including posting charges to accounts, running night audit backup, and roll the date. Another element of your role will be to process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit. You will also have to process adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, and miscellaneous charges and print contingency lists to have a record of all guests in case of emergency. You will also have the opportunity to sell a room/accommodation to guests without reservations based on in house availability. As you will be in a customer facing role you will operate the telephone switchboard station at the reception and process requests for wake up calls, and advise guest of any messages whilst assigning guests room and check-ins. Throughout the shift you will have to run night reports such as the room rate variance report. As a Night Auditor you will have to count bank at end of shift and secure bank and balance and drop receipts according to accounting specifications.
Clean and maintain all areas through the lobby and Reception areas. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications. Support with general enquires regarding the hotel grounds and facilities as well as any front desk/reception related specific queries.
