JOB SUMMARY


Serves as the property Manager on Duty and oversees all property operations during the overnight shift. Ensures that the highest levels of hospitality and service are provided during the overnight shift. Represents property management in resolving any guest or property related situation. Personally assisting in resolving any issues and completing tasks.


The role of the Duty Manager will be to ensure that the requests and needs of all guests are accommodated. The Duty Manager is responsible for the smooth operation of front desk, restaurant and banquet department during shift, acting as the management representative for the Hotel to ensure complete guest and patron satisfaction.


This manager will assist the General Manager with all aspects of departmental operations, making business decisions for the unit in the absence of there of, taking into account the Hotels philosophies, standards and procedures.


The Duty Manager will ensure that associates act at all times in a courteous, safe and efficient manner, in accordance with the hotels policies and procedures, ensuring that a high level of service is maintained. Requirements:


The Duty Manager is responsible for the smooth co-ordination and supervision of the entire hotel operation, including Front Desk, Restaurant and Banquet Operations. The Duty Manager makes business decisions for the unit, taking into account the Hotels philosophies, policies, standards and procedures and is responsible for both the day to day running and longer term strategic development of the Department.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar capacity in luxury hotel operations
  • CPR and First Aid certified candidates will have an added advantage
  • Excellent command of English in both verbal and written communication
  • Confident with a pleasant disposition and well groomed
  • Ability to work under pressure and on rotating shifts
  • Valid BC Driver license is required.
