JOB SUMMARY

Supports and audits the execution of Marriott control environment processes throughout the hotel. Support departmental leaders as they work with and understand these processes.  Performs auditing and accounting functions as needed to ensure standards are being met.

Lead the daily activities and performance of the audit staff. Communicate and follow-up on all procedural discrepancies.

Verify the Point of Sale (POS) system daily resets, date roll reset, credit card batch transmission, posting room and tax and distribution of reports have been performed. Review daily flash report prior to distribution. Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees; and serve as a role model for internal controls.

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE 

Education and Experience

·         4-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting; 1 year of  experience in accounting, auditing, or a related professional area

·         Professional Chartered Accountant qualification from ICAI.
