Job Purpose: Two to three sentences describing the overall purpose of the job

Take accurate orders, serve food and beverage items and provide information about menu items while ensuring guest satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities: Maximum of ten responsibilities, in order of percentage of time spent on functions from longest to shortest; do not list anything that doesnot represent at least 10% of the job's time. Please include supervisory responsibilities.

1.

Ensure all tables and seating areas are set properly prior to guest arrival.

2.

Present menus to guests and answer questions about menu items and make recommendations.

3.

Take orders for appetizers, cocktails and assorted beverages.

4.

Communicate orders to Bartender, kitchen area and enter items into computer order system.

5.

Follow up with guest to ensure satisfaction. Serve and replenish beverages and other service accessories.

6.

Prepare guest checks ensuring correct orders are listed and totaled. Return promptly with change and receipt having followed the propercash or credit procedures.

7.

Demonstrate product knowledge and assist in training new servers and server assistants.

8.

Complete daily side work duties as assigned.

9.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications: Describe the minimum qualifications needed to complete the job responsibilities.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience

Minimum one-year serving experience in an upscale, high volume environment. Good communication skills.

Licenses/Certifications

Food Handler's card and Alcoholic Beverage Commission (ABC) card may be required.
