We are looking for a new team member as our Director of Operations at Orlando Airport Marriott Lakeside.
Our property, owned and operated by Columbia Sussex Corporation, is located by Orlando International Airport, offering 485 guest rooms, approximately 30.000 square feet meeting space along with resort-like amenities such as an Outdoor Pool, Pool Bar and several Food and Beverage Outlets including a full service Restaurant, Coffee Shop and a Concierge Lounge.
The Director of Operations assists the General Manager in overseeing and directing all aspects of hotel operations including guest service, engineering, rooms, food & beverage and accounting. In some circumstances, the Director of Operations may also be assigned responsibility for a specific hotel department. Areas of responsibility include Front Office, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage/Culinary and Engineering. Position works with department heads to develop and implement departmental strategies and ensures implementation of the service strategy and initiatives.
The position ensures hotel operations meet the Columbia Sussex and Marriott Brand Standards and acts as an Acting General Manager during General Manager’s absence.
- Experience in all phases of hotel management. This position requires a strong F&B background coupled with solid Rooms Division experience, analytical ability, planning and coordination of large scale work projects, strong communication skills including written and verbal, excellent customer service skills to include the ability to resolve issues with both guests and associates, strong leadership skill set, working knowledge of and ability to analyze financial statements.
- Applicants with previous full service Marriott experience will be preferred.
- A minimum of four years hotel management experience required in a similar position and college degree preferred. Interested candidates, please provide target salary requirements.
