JOB SUMMARY

 

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. Marriott employees always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their colleagues. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:


·   Maintain pumps, grease traps, sewage pits cleaned and functioning properly.

·   Attend to maintenance request, maintenance calls, and plumbing complaints by guest or staff.

·   Check and record all jobs done in each shift and materials used during their tour of duties

·   Stand-by on call on emergency jobs of plumbing works after midnight as per duty roster or as required by the Chief In-charge and or the Engineering Manager or Director of Engineering in the Engineering Department.

·   Maintain solar heaters and are functioning properly with enough hot water to ensure the needs of the clients.

·   Maintain all pressurized piping without leaks and enough pressure to be distributed to each tap and outlets in guest villas, staff accommodations, public areas, gardens, kitchens, and to where water is required. 

·   Maintain cleanliness around the surrounding of their working areas.

·   Maintain solar heaters and are functioning properly with enough hot water to ensure the needs of the clients.

·   Maintain all pressurized piping without leaks and enough pressure to be distributed to each tap and outlets in guest villas, staff accommodations, public areas, gardens, kitchens, and to where water is required. 

·   Assist engineering crews in urgent needs of manpower when necessary and work as a team.

·   Information must be relayed to each shift, what to do or any pending jobs done from the previous shift.

·   Help and assist engineering crews in times of emergencies or in case of fire, natural disasters, and calamities.

·   Familiarized with the use of communication tools as a means of communication by the engineering crews and to be with them while on their tour of duty.
