JOB SUMMARY

 

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. Marriott employees always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their colleagues. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

· Supervise and lead the power house team for the efficient and effective management of the power house operations

·  Attend to engine breakdowns, malfunction, and preventive maintenance of Generator and Desalination plant as instructed by supervisor and manager.

· To check and maintain fire pumps in running condition and available in case of fire.

· Maintain Generator log book and record any activities. Date / time and person who do the job.

· Strictly follow duty roster and don’t leave the power without proper turnover to the next duty operator.

· Maintain daily record of all generator units by using standard power house log sheet.

· Make sure and understand the information that your write in the log book.

· Make sure that all information required for Generator and Desalination plant in the log book must be posted.

· Maintain sure that tolls and equipment for daily activities like, wrench, flashlight, ear plug and all kind of filters, oil, water coolant and battery backup must be ready at all time.

· Maintain cleanliness of all entire power house. Standby engine must be clean at all time.

· Control panel room must maintain desire A/C temperature, Clean and tidy.

· Attend daily morning briefing except day off.

· Maintain cleanliness around the surrounding of the entire power house areas.

·  Change Engine oil, Oil filter, fuel filter and air filter as per Cummins requirement.

·  Assist engineering crews in urgent needs of manpower when necessary.

· To follow all safety procedures while carrying out any tasks.

· To maintain effective communication with the Shift Leader at all times.

· To actively participate in the energy conservation programs of the Hotel.

· Help and assist engineering crews in times of emergency or in case of fire, natural disaster and calamities.

· To look after guest safety, and address any guest issues as quickly as possible, ensuring that they are completely happy with the work done.

· To complete activities on the preventive maintenance schedule as specified in hotel plans.

· To look after all the tools supplied by the Hotel in a professional manner, and correctly maintain and deposit them after finishing the shift.

·  To actively participate in the energy conservation programs of the Hotel.

· To utilize or recommend usage of all environmentally-friendly products in the work place.

To suggest cost saving ideas as and when possible, not limited to the Engineering Department
