Job Description


Sage Hospitality is currently seeking an accomplished General Manager for our iconic Union Station Hotel in Nashville.

Union Station Hotel is as deeply rooted in Nashville as country music. The hotel is a stunningly restored, 100-year-old historic hotel that is steps from top downtown Nashville attractions. This Marriott Autograph Collection hotel is an iconic landmark, blending modern conveniences with warm classical elegance, including Romanesque architecture featuring the original 65-foot barrel-vaulted stained glass ceiling and beautiful artwork throughout the lobby.This role will report to the Vice President of Operations within Sage Hotels as well as partnering with a collaborative ownership group that takes pride in excellence and is a great steward of its properties. The ideal candidate has a proven track record as General Manager achieving operations excellence in a Marriott (preferably Autograph Collection) property, has superb business and financial acumen, is an active participant in the business community, and creates successes in improving sales and marketing strategies.

Abilities

Must have vision ability in order to visually inspect hotel. Walk through the front and the back of the hotel. Climbing approximately 20-30 steps 10% of the week. Physically able to regularly inspect all areas of interior and exterior of facility.

Education/Experience

A four-year college degree or equivalent education/experience. Previous experience as General Manager or Assistant General Manager at a similar size and type of hotel or previous experience in a Department Head role within a similar hotel.
