JOB SUMMARY

 

This role will also execute overall activation of the property’s strategies in owned and third party electronic channels (Marriott.com, multi-lingual global sites, OTAs, Meta search sites, search engines, and other eMarketing vehicles). This role will work to increase revenue, grow market share and create a compelling experience that steers customers towards booking on our direct online property channels. Provides local area  insight to enhance their digital experience and on a regular basis to make sure the property is fully activated and optimized on Marriott.com and appropriate in-language global sites along with analysis on digital marketing for the property. In addition the Digital Marketing Executive will create and implement the Company’s Digital Media Strategy, developing brand awareness, generating inbound traffic and encouraging product adoption through digital media platforms and channels. Ensures to maintain, build, and managing the social community. This role coordinates with the internal PR & Marketing team to support their respective missions, ensuring consistency of tone of voice and cultivating a digital media referral network. This position supports the PR & Marketing team in specific marketing services such as maintaining and updating database, spreadsheets, and electronic filing systems related to digital media hotel activities and supporting hotel media relations outreach efforts and other activities to bolster the property's reputation and image within the online community.



 

PROFESSIONAL ATTRIBUTES, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

A good understanding of digital and social media having the knowledge and passion to pursue/explore new mediums to engage in.

Understanding of programmatic, meta and native online advertising initiatives

Strong understanding of online marketing concepts, including SEO, PPC, e-mail marketing & Social Media

Must be able to demonstrate a strong knowledge and practicality of technology and its up to the moment application

Design & Video editing capabilities

Advanced skills with social media management applications

Possesses excellent writing skills

Strong social skills and comfortable at holding conversations at all levels

Good organization skills

Solid understanding of development for dynamic websites and/or Content Management Systems.

Determined, tenacious, like to experiment, thinking out of the box is a must

Ability to create great working relationships with all levels of the hotel and across multiple disciplines

Superior analytical skills required as well as knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.

Demonstrate excellent skills in written English

Strong communication and presentational skills.

 

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Manage Property Websites and ensure Brand Standards compliance.

Management of branded web content, SEO & photography updates.

Management of hotel content on Brand.com, Local Property and Campaign Sites to optimize conversion of visitors and drive incremental revenue to hotels

Manage the hotels use of Social Media and assist with platform implementation when required.

Develop local optimization road maps to enhance web presence and online performance: implement SEO plans and analyze performance

Build landing pages and deals & offers pages to support segmental marketing campaigns and to reinforce hotel USP’s.

Support execution of communication plan to drive share from specific target / niche markets.

Management of Third Party Sites / OTA Merchandising Opportunities

Management of segmental Third Party Sites (Spa, F&B, Meetings, etc.)

Management of natural search optimization and core social media visibility and presence.

Ensure content (video, photography & descriptions) of online channels remain accurate and brand compliant.

Implementation of email marketing strategies

Support the implementation of revenue focused local partnerships/campaigns.

Support the launch of tactical destination and hotel specific marketing campaigns

Leverage social media and contribute to ensure hotels have a strong presence on social networks.

Support coordination with the hotel sales & marketing teams and agencies to implement digital marketing tactics.

Support the management of natural search optimization and act as a back-up support to PR & Marketing Team for social media visibility

Build and manage key digital platforms (restaurants/meetings/spa, etc.) and implement best practices to deliver increased presence and incremental revenue to hotels, across all revenue streams (rooms, F&B, meetings, MOD…)

Coordinate the use of Marriott Internal Marketing channels to maximize campaign reach and impact (brand sites, email marketing tool to drive incremental rooms and ancillary revenue to hotels,

Support monthly financial reporting of all digital platforms both internal and external; learn and apply learnings from monthly channel analysis on production, trends, booking and stay pattern to future campaigns or actions,

Support and carry out tasks and work towards goals specified in the regional Digital Field Marketing LPP (Performance Management Process), including participation in Brand Activation calendar,

Controls day-to-day activities of select social media channels; manage and update all social presences of the hotel or outlets.

Manages active and engaged communities around defined topics; performs social media canvasing and lead generation.

Maintain current knowledge of all Marriott Social Media Policies and Procedures to ensure compliance.

Develops creative design, motion graphics, presentations (Keynote and PowerPoint), production layouts, infographics, and provides support for assigned projects.

Meets with GM and Dept. heads for appropriate messaging needs/ responses to Guest Reviews (TripAdvisor, OTAs).

Monitors community feedback in real-time, drives daily engagement with public interaction for the hotel’s official social presences (FB, Twitter, etc).

Create and maintain long-lead editorial content calendars (supporting the Brand’s Social Playbook guidelines), for the hotel and applicable outlets.

Develops unique hotel and destination content (posts, photos, videos, infographics, etc); sources and leverages quality User Generated Content in social amplification efforts and ensure usage rights for all materials.

Verifies Brand positioning and voice is fully adhered and activated at the property level.

Maintain current knowledge of all Marriott Social Media Policies and Procedures to ensure compliance.

Produces written communication with internal and external customers requiring a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.

 

 

 


CANDIDATE PROFILE

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


1 – 2 years in digital marketing/advertising industry or relevant hospitality experience

Strong knowledge of Google Analytics tool / Social media analytics

Computer skills, graphic design is a plus (any level)

Strong understanding of the digital environment as a distribution and marketing / engagement channel

Organized, detail-oriented and deadline sensitive
