Job Description Date:
Job Purpose: Two to three sentences describing the overall purpose of the job
Provide food and beverage service to banquet function guests. Ensure proper setup and breakdown of assigned banquets.
Job Responsibilities: Maximum of ten responsibilities, in order of percentage of time spent on functions from longest to shortest; do not list anything that doesnot represent at least 10% of the job's time. Please include supervisory responsibilities.
Serve and clear food and beverage items according to function requirements.
Ensure that buffets, bars, coffee breaks and tables are properly set according to specific function diagrams and standards.
Attend to buffets, bars, coffee breaks and tables according to function requirements.
Attend all pre-shift meeting to ensure knowledge of event menu and requirements.
Ensure full knowledge of menu and beverage selections for the event.
Maintain cleanliness in all banquet function areas and storerooms as assigned.
Ensure that all side stations are stocked to appropriate standards for particular function.
Communicate clearly with all banquet guests to ensure proper service.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications: Describe the minimum qualifications needed to complete the job responsibilities.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of one-year serving experience preferred. Good communication skills required.
Alcoholic Beverage Commission (ABC) and Food Handlers cards may be required.

Ability to speak and hear. Close and distance vision. Frequent sitting with some walking and standing. Frequently lifts/carries up to 5lbs. Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
