1. Analytical and numerical skills
Forecast, analyze and report Sales and Profit results.
Conduct market research.
2. Business acumen
Effectively measure and report on a timely basis, sales results with updated and competitor information to Assistant Director of Sales.
Fulfills customer relationship management responsibilities and sales goals to defined customers through planned customer interviews.
Monitors and reports on market and competitor within own market segment.
Establish a regular call pattern for meeting with principles of target markets.
Participate in trade shows, conventions and promotional events within the hotel, the industry and customer organizations as necessary.
Actively source new account and develop existing accounts that will meet the yield objective of the hotel from these market segments.
Represents hotel and participates in domestic and international sales activities.
Maintain regular contact with key contacts in the appropriate market segments including site inspections and sales calls.
Manager account base and maintain all customer information up to date manually and electronically.
Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required.
Attend meetings as required.
Carries out other tasks as directed by supervisor.
Ensure compliance with legislated health and safety requirements within the workplace.
Comply with all Corporate and Hotel Standards and Procedures.
4. Communication skills(written/verbal)
Liaise closely with other departments within the hotel to ensure efficient and regular communication of sales activities.
Actively promote a work environment, which cares for guests and associates alike.
5. Goal focus
Assist with the development and performance reviews, identifying key personnel for further development and structured career pathing.
Undertake tasks as and when requested to fulfill the sales&marketing objectives of hotel.
Active distribution of product information and creates awareness in the markets and business segments or responsibility.
Provides ongoing advice and support to the department.
Analyses, evaluates and improves personal performance on a continual basis.
Establish an understanding for Starwood policy and procedures. Develop and maintain a good working with all GSO’s and actively sources Team Hot leads for other Starwood properties.
Maintain regular contact with the Starwood Global Sales Offices and where appropriate submit sales leads within the Starwood network.
