Job Summary
 The Marketing/Social Media Coordinator works directly with the Marketing Manager with a dotted line reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing to help support hotel-wide and departmental initiatives.


·         Manage social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, twitter) with agency support.

·         Assist in planning and execution in collaboration with a social media agency.

  • Assist in capturing important segments of the hotel through constant and regular phone photography to form image and content generation.

·         Cultivate and grow online relationships with key target audiences and influencers

·         Seek new opportunities to integrate social media into our strategic marketing objectives.

·         Assist with general administrative tasks including, but not limited to: upkeep of website; collateral creation and updates; media itinerary development;

  • Assists with the preparation and execution of various marketing campaigns; coordinates and manages photo shoots
  • Manages timely completion of all marketing projects and works with hotel departments to successfully market amenities, events, etc.; follows-up with departments to ensure satisfaction of finished product
  • Assists with develops annual marketing plan in conjunction with Sales and F&B departments
  • Maintain marketing tools (CDs, videos, photos, jpegs) and manage distributing to internal and external parties as needed
  • Assist in maintaining online brand reputation (Online review response, Social Media Queries and Engagement, Content Management)
  • Assist in capturing important segments of the hotel through constant and regular phone photography and image content generation.


  • Social Media Savvy
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to articulate and follow brand vernacular and creative guidelines
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks from the creative process through production effectively and within deadlines
  • Competent in written and verbal communication
 Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally. Use sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to Marriott. Recognize opportunities to up-sell the customer and sell enhancements to create a better Marriott experience or event. Encourage guests or callers to purchase or schedule preview package sales/tours. Explain details and requirements related to attending a sales presentation to potential owners. Verify that individuals meet eligibility requirements for preview package sales/tours prior to scheduling a tour for a Marriott vacation club property. Determine and give complimentaries to guests as gifts for their patronage (e.g., rewards points, show tickets). Answer guest questions about property facilities/services. Receive, record, and relay messages accurately, completely, and legibly.
     Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
