Candidate profile


  • Valid working permit for Belgium is mandatory
  • 1-2 years experience in sales, reservation or events.
  • Knowledge of the hotel industry.Fluency in French, English and Dutch. Any other language is a plus.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and commercial skills
  • Positive and can-do attitude!
Job Summary
The Sales Executives qualifies and handles all incoming leads for the Marriott Brussels Cluster and maximizes revenue through increased bookings across multiple properties and brands.  Handles customer inquiries within predefined parameters and communicates booking information to hotel service departments. 
The Sales Executive has strong selling and negotiation skills and actively upsells each business opportunity to maximize revenue for individual properties.  Aligns customer profile with the appropriate product; Achieves personal revenue related goals.  Ensures business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for proper service delivery in accordance with brand standards.
Job specific tasks
  • Maximizes revenue through increased booking across multiple brands/hotels within the Marriott Brussels Cluster.
  • Provides an efficient and effective process to quickly handle customer inquiries within predefined parameters
  • Ability to understand different strategy and to cross sell from one property to the other
  • Answer all group requests promptly in a businesslike and friendly manner with emphasis on benefit feature selling
  • Suggest positive alternatives and ensure that business booked is within hotels Parameters
  • Follow-up each booking with the customer and enter appropriate comments in the activities
  • Produces contracts and get it signed back (proforma invoice)
  • Use the appropriate procedure to transfer the business to the hotel
  • Follow-up the site inspections related to specific group requests within the hotel
  • Sell hotel promotions and packages
  • Data base creation, development and keep it update
  • Update snapshot on regular basis to facilitate the forecast accuracy
  • Use the right procedure to turn down a booking
  • Achieve personal and team revenue goals
  • Ability to develop relationship e.g. associates, Hotels, customers, vendors
