A snapshot of some of the things you will be engaged in:
The Controller supervises and directs the financial activities of the hotel including AP, AR, credit and collections, payroll, cash management, internal controls, auditing, general ledger, financial statements, taxes, and budgeting. The Controller safeguards the assets and prepares all financial reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Qualified candidate must be able to implement and monitor internal controls, become familiar with all aspects of accounting department (night audit, accounts receivable/payable, general cashier and payroll), prepare budgets and forecasts, and manages multiple tasks simultaneously. The Controller is the financial leader of the hotel and works closely with the corporate finance team. The position will help with short and long-term strategies and planning. Participates in total hotel management as a member of the hotel's Executive Committee and is responsible for providing the timely dissemination of reports to management to assist in achieving bottom line results. Position reports to the General Manager.
hotel experience and more specifically Marriott experience a plus
- 2 years Accounting/Controller experience a must
- Knowledge in Profit Sword, M3, Timesaver, helpful
