Handles all hotel and guest laundry from sorting, washing, drying, pressing, folding etc until returned to linen room or to guest. Will be assigned specific area/areas.
 

1.       Knowledge and correct handling of the different types of linen.

2.       Ensure proper use of equipment and chemicals.

3.       Report any faults of equipment to the Laundry Shift leader or Laundry manager immediately.

4.       Handle guest items with utmost care, to avoid damages, shrinkage, lost buttons etc.

5.       Answer guest calls and handle guest requests in a friendly, efficient manner.

6.       Collect guest laundry when requested, ensuring correct room-number is noted. Inspect all items and note any damages, discolor etc before and after cleaning. Report to the Shift leader if you don’t know the material of the clothes. 

7.       Prepare costing of guest Laundry, to ensure correct and prompt posting.

8.       Package and deliver guest laundry to correct guestrooms.

9.       Deliver high quality service to guests.

10.    Ensure guest needs and reasonable requests are met.

11.    Seek opportunities to continually improve guest service.

12.    Take appropriate action to resolve guest complaints.

13.    Adhere to the hotel’s security and emergency policies and procedures.

14.    Adhere to hotel cleaning and maintenance programs.

15.    Ensure a high level of cleaning is maintained in your work area.

16.    Carry out other tasks as directed by your supervisors.
