JOB SUMMARY

 

This is an Excom level role, reporting to the General Manager and will be overseeing the Sales and Events Departments entirely in designing, planning, and implementing The St. Regis Abu Dhabi Sales strategy.  Partner with Director of Marketing and Director of Revenue to ensure all team members are aligned with hotel S&M strategy. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop the sales strategy for The St. Regis Abu Dhabi, partnering with key stakeholders (General Manager, Director of Revenue Management and Director of Marketing)
  • Responsible for communicating the sales strategy to the Sales and Groups and Events teams.
  • Working closely with the Director of Revenue Management, monitor comp set, industry trends, global economy and events to proactively identify opportunities to adjust Sales Strategy.
  •  Responsible for accomplishing the annual S&M Planning process for the property, fully understanding the Sales & Marketing requirements and budget.
  • Partner with General Manager and DOM to develop specific hotel marketing projects such as direct marketing, production of sales collateral and advertising campaigns.   Ensure full compliance with all Company Marketing programs.
  • Ensure the Sales, Groups and Events teams are efficiently utilizing resources on their day to day operation to maximize time/effort and accomplish targets.
  • Conduct performance reviews as required with direct reports.
  • Set annual revenue targets, in line with budget, for all direct reports and work with ADOS and Director of Groups and Events to ensure team has clear vision and understanding on their revenue target and strategies.
     
    SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
  • Ensure completion Preferred RFP process in line with budgeted guidelines.
  • Ensure proper procedure is in place to communicate with all relevant departments involved when contracting Transient Accounts.
  • Manage a pre-determined number of key accounts/key prospects and other active accounts to ensure maximum yield in line with budgetary objectives.
  • Ensure solicitation goals are in place targeting Prospecting/New accounts.
  • Develop strategic sales initiatives and track accordingly the execution of specific action plans for each market.
  • Ensure that all members of the sales and events teams maintain S&C Standards and that the system is utilized to its full capacity.
  • Attend Trade Shows representing The St. Regis Abu Dhabi.
  • Organize familiarization trips and educational tours in line with business needs.
