JOB SUMMARY

Job Summary
 
The E-commerce & Marketing Manager, Mauritius contributes to achieving Revenue goals of the Marriott portfolio of hotels in Mauritius by implementing and executing digital, CRM and loyalty plans and campaigns for the different segments.
 
The E-commerce & Marketing Manager, Mauritius works in close collaboration with the Director of Marketing, the PR/Comms Manager and the hotel coordinators to ensure all activities are in line with the Marriott Corporate guidelines, visions, objectives and commercial plans.
 
In charge of three hotels:
  • The St Regis Mauritius Resort;
  • The Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa, Mauritius;
  • Le Meridien Ile Maurice
     
    Tasks & responsibilities
     
  1. Maximize positioning of the above mentioned brands in Mauritius and in source markets.
  2. Enhance Customer Experience including Content, UX (User Experience), Marketing, Performance through the implementation of local marketing plans & activities;
  3. Analyse hotel online performance (Brand Web & OTAs) in order to best leverage hotel marketing budgets;
  4. Set goals for hotels with specific KPI’s (including but not limited to: direct web contribution, social referral traffic, e-reputation, partner marketing) supported by regular review and ROI analysis;
  5. In conjunction with Regional Digital Field Marketing AFIO, and third party partners, ensure optimisation of SEO, SEM & SMO strategies, including activities through Paid search, affiliates, local meta search, partners, display, etc. in order to drive traffic & conversion for the brand language domains and hotel pages;
  6. Establish direct e-marketing strategies to drive customer acquisition and retention through implementation of CRM activities as per MI guidelines;
  7. In collaboration with Sales, establish plans to foster lead conversion and leverage loyalty with trade partners (TOs and Wholesalers);
  8. Drive loyalty recognition & e-reputation through hotel guest experience activities and SPG/MR activations;
  9. Ensure hotel marketing leads are trained and fully equipped to drive brand web traffic and create motivating content on Social media channels;
  10. Collaborate with Revenue Teams to focus on online profitability;
  11. Provide research and analysis on latest online developments and market landscapes for resort properties
     
    Knowledge and Experience
     
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing communications –
  • A minimum of five years’ relevant work experience with strong understanding of marketing and specifically digital marketing (including SEM, display, content marketing, OTAs and some breadth across multiple channels)
  • Previous experience in Marketing for Resorts preferred
  • Bring artistry, a high taste level when it comes to building content and brand collateral; show an appreciation of product and brand, and an understanding of the customer
  • Hands on experience using tools to improve user optimisation and conversion
  • Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy and best practice.
  • Proficient ability to communicate effectively in English both in writing and verbally. French language is a plus. 
  • Demonstrated organisation skills and planning abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise work to align with company’s and department’s initiatives
  • Ability to travel regularly within Mauritius Island
