Located at the forefront of Dubai’s most prominent thoroughfare, the Sheraton Grand Hotel seamlessly connects to the heart of the booming business district. Our hotel is just across from the Dubai World Trade Centre and within walking distance of the Dubai Convention Centre. A short drive will take you to DIFC, Dubai Mall, or downtown, and Dubai International Airport (DXB) is 10 kilometers away. Standing 53 stories tall, the hotel comprises 474 guest rooms and suites, as well as 180 one- to three-bedroom serviced apartments. All accommodations span at least 36 square meters and feature the Sheraton Sweet Sleeper® Bed. Our expansive conference center boasts meeting rooms with natural illumination and state-of-the-art audiovisual technology. To provide administrative support to the F&B department and to assist the Director of Food and Beverage in setting and maintaining consistent standards in all menus, minutes, training manuals and internal memorandum as well as main operational functions.
The Admin Assistant manages the day-to-day running and administration of the F&B Department in a courteous and professional manner befitting a prestigious 5 star hotel. He/ she provides and maintains the highest standards of administrative support to the Director of F&B.
He or she will:
  • Prepare letters and correspondence.
  • Receive and distributing all incoming mail;
  • Take and redirect telephone calls for the Director of F&B and F&B Venue Managers where appropriate;
  • Maintain the diary & appointments to ensure that appointments are honored, meetings attended and deadlines met;
  • Maintain accurate and efficient filing systems, ensuring timely, safe follow-ups & traces;
  • Ensure the completion of Progress Training & participation in Progress related activities for all Dining Venues’ teams;
  • Proactively engage in the development of processes and methods to improve the service and efficiency of all areas of the role;
  • Handle travel arrangements and accommodation where appropriate;
  • Type and distribute minutes of meetings;
  • Personally coordinates beverage orders and follow’s-up with Purchasing Dept. and Supplier for the whole F&B Service team;
  • Project a positive and professional image to all contacts at all times;
  • Ensure that the standard of written work is accurate and well presented;
  • Advise the Director of Food and Beverage and all Venue Managers of guest comments or complaints and initiates a response;
  • Provide administrative and secretarial support to the F&B Department;
  • Continuously review and improve internal operations and processes within the department

  • Has minimum twelve months of restaurant, food and beverage, or equivalent experience;
  • Has working knowledge of the restaurant aspect of services;
  • Has the ability to operate computer equipment and the reservations system;

Bachelor degree required.
