Job Description Date:
Job Purpose: Two to three sentences describing the overall purpose of the job
Build, maintain, and repair structures made of wood, plywood, wallboard and other related items within the property.
Job Responsibilities: Maximum of ten responsibilities, in order of percentage of time spent on functions from longest to shortest; do not list anything that doesnot represent at least 10% of the job's time. Please include supervisory responsibilities.
Maintain and repair all structures made of wood including cabinets, bed frames, doors, chairs chair, crown molding and furniture.
Assess property needs and create products as required.
Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim, or hardware.
Frame out walls and set door frames.
Participate in show and production fabrication as directed by the Chief
Engineer or the Engineering Manager.
Maintain a clean work environment and proper upkeep of all company tools.
Comply with OSHA regulations, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and safety precautions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications: Describe the minimum qualifications needed to complete the job responsibilities.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of three years carpentry experience and or equivalent experience required. Experience as a Finished Carpenter preferred. Workingknowledge of all tools commonly used in carpentry shop required. Ability to read and understand technical literature and blueprintsrequired.
Valid Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record may be required. Material Handling Equipment certification as required (may varyby property)

Customarily and regularly direct the work of at least 2 or more full-time STARS or their equivalent (1 full-time STAR at 40 and 2 half-timeSTARS at 20 hours each , are equivalent to 2 full-time STARS).
Authority to hire or fire other STARS, or makes suggestions and recommendations as to the hiring, firing , advancement, promotion or anyother change of status of other employees are given particular weight.
