This iconic Resort is situated between the renowned Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest in Tropical North Queensland.  The resort comprises  295 guest rooms, suites and villas.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to secure future MICE business and continue to grow the Leisure Markets with the aim to secure maximum room nights whilst building longer term strong relationships.  The position reports directly to the Director, Sales and Marketing.


 Responsibilities include and are not limited to:
  • Maintain current Leisure and MICE accounts in key Markets
  • Over-all Liaison and annual Sales Trips to the various International Wholesalers and key MICE Accounts
  • Identify New Brochure and Marketing Opportunities within the National and International Sales Arena
  • Conduct Strategically Planned Sales Missions to conduct one-on-one Meetings and Updates to Key Accounts.
  • Position our Resort as the #1 Resort of Choice in Australia and Key International Markets
  • Execute Familiarisation Schedule with the Local, Regional, National and International Tourism Bodies, Airlines and Clients
  • Attendance of Trade Shows as required
  • Maintain close working relationship with the key Marriott Global Sales offices
  • Actively support both State and National ATEC (Australian Travel Export Council), Cairns and National Activity
  • Annual Account Contracting
  • Contracting, General Maintenance of Relationships and Inbound Tour Operators
  • Regular meetings with Product Managers
  • Preferred applicants will have valid working rights to work in Australia.  Sponsorship will not be available for this position.
To be successful in this position you will need to possess the following minimum requirements:
  • Tertiary Qualification (desirable)
  • At least 3 years in a similar role.
  • Experience in an International standard 4 or 5 star Hotel (desirable)
