Areas of responsibility include the beach club restaurant and bar operations and, if applicable, other restaurants and bars. Supervises daily restaurant operations and assists with menu planning, maintains sanitation standards and assists servers and hosts on the floor during peak meal periods. Strives to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximize the financial performance in areas of responsibility. Determines training needed to accomplish goals, then implements plan.
Focuses on the positioning of the newly renovated beach club restaurant and bar, to establish an renovated concept and vibrant, energetic environment, that make the guest feel comfortable and attract to this new concept.
Coordinates staff during business hours (breakfast, lunch, dinner, after dinner) throughout the different venues on the beach; including the supervision of service on the beach sun beds.
Demonstrates the ownership and outgoing behavior. Treats the beach club restaurant as his/her own business, proposes marketing and upsell initiatives and follows through the agreed action plans in a timely and effective manner.
Can work without direct supervision, understands that gaining the trust and cooperation of the team comes from walking the talk and not from a position title. Is a team player and has stamina for a demanding operation, can connect with guests, staff and supervisors. Understands that the pressure on the newly renovated operation is high and that results have to be delivered in terms of top and bottom line to ensure a ROI in line with the expectations.
Candidate has to be hands on, ready to jump into action and take an active part in the operation (welcoming guests, serving orders, clearing tables), as to be a a dynamic and energetic person.
