Job Summary


To provide service to Marriott brand standard to all guests dining in the restaurant, bar and room service areas of the hotel.  To work within the conference and events team to support the department as needed.


To provide service to Marriott brand standard to all guests dining in the restaurant, bar, room service and conference and events areas.


Ensure that you have full product knowledge of all menu items and their service, to be able to take guests orders and recommend products and services.


Promote sales and achieve maximum sales potential for both food and beverages.


Service, clear and re-lay tables throughout and after service.


Ensure that service areas are clean and tidy at all times, meeting the brand standard guidelines.


To operate the POS / till effectively and handle cash and credit cards and room charges


To be able to effectively carry out the opening up and closing down of the bar ensuring the bar is well stocked at all times, to include effective cellar management


To maintain the cleanliness of all F&B equipment and areas at all times


To attend all Marriott training sessions as required by the hotel, to include all legislative training and additional training provided by the hotel 


To maintain hygiene, safety and fire standards within the work area in adherence with safety matters and all legal requirements in order to ensure the health and safety of guests and fellow associates alike.


To deal with all guest requests and concerns in accordance with Spirit to Serve and Guest Response procedures, thereby maximizing guest satisfaction whilst maintaining profitability.


To take responsibility for any keys or money you may hold and ensure that security and accuracy is observed at all times.


Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications.


Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.


Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards. Speak with others using clear and professional language.


Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. 


Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.


Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
