Main Kitchen - Within one of the largest and most sophisticated banqueting facilities within a hotel in Sydney, the Main Kitchen is responsible for the smooth running of our banqueting and events from a culinary perspective. Servicing the largest event banquet space of all hotels in Sydney, Sous Chef of our main kitchen offers the opportunity to lead some on the most experienced banqueting chefs and create truly spectacular and seasonal food for a volume operation
In this role you will use your culinary knowledge and exceptional skills to manage a small team and provide outstanding meals for our guests. You will be responsible will be responsible for the smooth running of the kitchen in the absence of the Sous Chef and Executive Sous Chef.
Requirements for the position include:
- Exceptional pastry culinary skills
- Strong leadership, communication and people skills
- Solid understanding of HACCP and the ability to ensure standards are maintained
- Understanding the financial aspects of leading a kitchen brigade
- Lead, develop and motivate your team of chefs
