Job Summary
 
Department
We are currently seeking Chefs who will form an integral part of our culinary leadership team.  The positions reports directly to the Executive Chef.
 
  • Chef De Parties - A la Carte and Production and Pastry
  • Demi Chefs
  • Commis Chefs 
The successful candidates will be:
  • Trade Qualified
  • Prior experience and knowledge of Garde Manger, A la Carte, Buffet and outdoor catering styles.
  • Talented and creative
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Team Players
  • True desire to succeed in this profession.
  • Previous 5 Star Experience in a larger kitchen brigade is highly regarded
  • The ability to work rotating shifts across 7 days.
  • Foster a learning environment where associates take pride
  • Preferred applicants will have valid working rights to work in Australia.  Sponsorship will not be avaialble for this position
Responsibilities include and are not limited to:
  • Provide training for new and existing associates in the required skills and knowledge
  • Assist in the preparation of rosters, menu planning  and standard operating procedures
  • Undertake and supervise daily food preparation in anticipation and response of service requirement.
  • Be totally involved in the hotel's operation keeping up-to-date with events within the hotel
