- To monitor on a continuous basis the storage, backup, performance and proper functioning of but not limited to the following areas:
- Safekeeping of all information storage devices and media such as diskettes, tapes, CD.
- Fidelio FO, Sales & catering system.
- Micros Point of Sales System
- PABX and FCS Call Accounting System
- Novell Network System
- PC based user application and hardware
- Sun Accounting System
- Vingcard Key System
- Marsha Dial-up System
- Shiji Personnel and Payroll System
- Other systems and software to be installed
- To extend full support to users of the above computer systems and provide effective solutions to computer related problem in coordination and as guided by the System Manager.
- To coordinate the timely repairs and return to service of any faulty systems and/or equipment.
- To refresh from time to time the implementation of established emergency procedures to continue hotel operations in the event of system failure.
- To assist System Manager in formulating, from time to time, new policies and procedures that can continuous improve the support functions of System Department and the security of the computer system.
- To assist in the training of all system users in the effective use of systems.
- To ensure that preventive maintenances of software and equipment are carried out timely and effectively.
- To ensure the work area is free from all hazards including but not limited to unauthorized entries, fire, pollutions, theft etc.
- To respond to the changes in department functions as dictated by the industry, the company or the hotel.
- To provide courteous and professional service and to maintain good working relationships with all hotel associates.
- To have a complete understanding of the hotel associate handbook and to adhere to the regulations contained therein.
- To have a complete understanding of the hotel policies relating to fire, safety and hygiene.
- To carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
