JOB SUMMARY
 

Manages a team and contributes to the successful delivery of security programs and projects across the security portfolio. Coordinates resourcing for project managers.  Runs program and portfolio steering committees and aligns with portfolio management team for governance.    Able to represent program and project status to stakeholders for regular updates and readouts.   Maintains alignment to the Enterprise SDLC process and security specific processes.  

 
CANDIDATE PROFILE
 
Education and Experience
 
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences or related field or equivalent experience/certification
  • 8+ years of information technology project management experience
  • 3+ years direct management of cross functional, sourced, or matrixed team
  • PMP certification 
Preferred:
  • Active in local Project Management professional organization
  • 2+ years’ experience in leading or developing change initiatives in a business or IT organization
  • Strong negotiating, influencing and problem resolution skills
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Knowledge of business environment, service requirements and hospitality culture
  • Experience with development and management of process standards in a sourced environment.
  • Adept at conducting research into process and governance best practices, models, and methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas in easy to understand business terms
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to accomplish results through others, particularly by establishing relationships, effective controls and leading in a managed service environment
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Graduate/post graduate degree 

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

 

Successful Delivery of Security Projects

  • Establish and integrate Project Management measures, metrics, thresholds, and targets to drive performance in alignment with IT and business strategies, including risk and operational management metrics
  • Develop future-state project management methodology, tools, and governance for Information Security aligned to the Enterpise
  • Perform project risk assessments to identify key organizational risks and opportunities
  • Drive change through communication of vision and objectives to gain organizational support for projects
  • Communicate status and results of programs and projects to senior management
  • Provide accurate reporting and analysis to determine results, business impact, and areas for improvement 

Development of Project Governance and Processes

  • Accountable for overall Information Security Project Management Governance processes
  • Achieves results through management of others
  • Represents Information Security’s Project Management process needs at the enterprise level
  • Works with key business and iT leadership to anticipate future project management needs and develops plans accordingly
  • Accountable for the overall process and tools required to deliver results on-time and within budget

  • Generate enthusiasm and understanding of the information security vision and how each role contributes to the achievement of that vision
  • Ensure capabilities are developed and resources are aligned to support the strategy

  • Ensure appropriate processes are in place and executed to drive collaboration and alignment within the team and with the broader IT organization
