POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Accounts Payable Clerk will report to the Accounting Manager, and is an integral part of the financial team. The primary responsibilities of this position are to perform certain clerical functions including, but not limited to, Accounts Payable, and Balance Sheet transactions of the admin office(s) in the continent.  

 

The main responsibilities within the Accounts Payable function will include the review and payment of Invoices, Data Input on MIGL (PeopleSoft), Vendor Statement Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Posting of Journals. The main responsibilities in other functions are Auditing process, and various other duties. The Accounts Payable Clerk may do some or all of these functions in support of the Accounting Manager.

 

SCOPE

 

The Accounts Payable Clerk provides support / is responsible for the Europe Office Fetter Lane 

  • Location requirements:  The Accounts Payable Clerk is to be located at the Fetter Lane office

  • Language Requirements:  High proficiency (speaking, reading and writing) in English is required.

  • Travel Requirements:  There is a 5 % business travel required.  


EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS 

 

Finance Administration 

 

The Accounts Payable Clerk may perform some or all of these functions:

  •    Overall responsibility of the AP function
  1. Timely review, coding and posting of AP invoices
  2. Vendor/Supplier statement reconciliation
  3. Promptly responding to supplier queries
  4. Preparation and posting of MIGL journals for Balance Sheet and P&L accounts related to AP
  5. Maintenance of AP filing system
  6. Running of reports to verify failed/late payments
  7. Prompt response to late payment reminders 
  • Resolve issues and discrepancies with MBS and other Shared Services Centers

  • Provide a clear, friendly service to all members of the Company and suppliers

  • Other accounting clerical tasks as assigned

CANDIDATE PROFILE - KEY TALENTS AND EXPERIENCE DESIRED  

 

REQUIRED:


The successful candidate must have strong analytical, organizational & communication skills, an excellent approach to customer services as well as exhibit flexibility. The Accounts Payable Clerk must have strong technical skills and knowledge of Excel to the Intermediate Level. Knowledge of Accounting systems and MS Office packages is preferred.
