JOB SUMMARY

  • Develops opening strategy for Greater China region and oversees 305+ active openings (as of Feb 2019) in pipeline.
  • Conducts pre-opening meetings and site visits to ensure hotel’s compliance with Marriott design standards.
  • Supports and provides countdown programs for luxury openings.
  • Establish training programs and develops trainers to fuel future openings.
  • Identifies candidates for new hotels. Develops and cultivates talents to support future growth of the organization.
  • Visits hotels and performs compliance reviews to ensure hotels follow standards consistently.
  • Establishes security supporting programs for special major events
  • Manages and leads security operations in Greater China with a focus on luxury brands.
  • Drives security programs at luxury hotels to ensure high standards.

 

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university;

  • 5 years’ experience in the security/loss prevention or related professional area in a managerial capacity. Experience of managing learning and development programs preferred;

  • Native Mandarin Chinese speaker. Good command of English. Able to deliver training programs and presentations in fluent English.

     

     

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

  • Conducts pre-opening hotel site inspections

  • Works with pre-opening hotel teams to develop strategy for security team

  • Interviews and seletets candidates for hotel security leaders

  • Provides on-job training to hotel security leaders

  • Coordinates with opening teams and manages the countdown programs for security discipline

  • Reviews and assists the hotel security leaders in completing 5SU

  • Works with GDAP and GS&S Techinical Services in reviewing and approving security designs of hotels

  • Conducts security compliance reviews for managed hotels

  • Provides consulting services to hotels

  • Conducts investigation of major incidents and recommends follow-up actions for hotels

  • Manages crisis notifications and handles crisis calls from hotels

  • Provides oversight over local security councils and supports GM Business Councils

  • Reviews and approves Business Case Analysis (BCAs) from hotels

  • Assists Internal Compliance in training and conducting compliance reviews for hotels

  • Analyses incident trends to develop strategy in reducing incident related costs

  • Drives Threat Condition program and ensure compliance from hotels

  • Works with Business Continuity Office and drives full compliance with BCO programs from hotels

  • Develops and grows internal talents to support future growth of the organization

  • Commnicates and assists in implementing local authority requirements for security & safety
