JOB SUMMARY
 

The Senior Manager, Digital Discipline Partner is responsible for efforts to integrate digital priorities and discipline initiatives, creating integrated digital roadmaps and compelling digital experiences for our guests. In addition, this role will be responsible for key digital products that extend critical capabilities such as Member Authentication and Loyalty program information. This role works with cross-functional teams, solves problems quickly, thinks strategically, makes data-driven decisions. Generates strategic analysis and business insights to inform Digital and partner roadmaps. This position also manages day-to-day relationships with technology teams to drive innovation and consistent delivery across our digital and omnichannel platforms.

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

 
Education and Experience
  • Four-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 6 years’ experience in the business, sales and marketing, management operations, or related professional area.
  • Experience managing transformational strategies for business units.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results under challenging conditions, particularly when faced with complexity and ambiguity.
 

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

 

Transformational Growth

  • Work with Loyalty and other partners to identify, incubate and mature initiatives that drive new growth for Marriott
  • Drive excellence in collaboration, communication and operations management across key service organizations
  • Develop strategic roadmaps and identify digital resource needs for sustaining new products, services and digital experiences
  • Collaborate with cross-organizational stakeholders to align and elevate Marriott’s digital products and experiences. These partnerships include International Leadership; Sales, Distribution Strategy and Revenue teams; iT; and across the Digital organization.
  • Follow industry trends, digital company moves, and other supplier chain competitor M&E approaches to address upcoming threats and to enhance Marriott’s competitive strength
 

Product Stewardship

  • Loyalty capabilities such as program information and member authentication
  • Maintain a stand-alone app environment to test hypotheses of relevant product/service offerings and feature expansion
  • Coordinate across disciplines to prioritize capabilities to pilot and ensure portability of learnings and technical developments
  • Harvest insights to enhance core capabilities and future enhancements
  • Identify ideas that can be tested or refined within the sandbox to inform core digital experiences
  • Work with key external partners to enable and expedite capability delivery
  • Support customer research and combine market and user research, to contribute to product strategy and roadmap  
  • Advocate for disruptive product solutions that can become key market differentiators for Marriott
  • Define key metrics and implement measurement of metrics, to determine product performance and gain insights into ability to achieve product goals, new opportunities and growth potential
  • Communicate product wins, opportunities, and the product vision through compelling discussions and presentations.
 

Support Other Strategic Initiatives

  • Support efforts across Global Digital, UX and Product leads to understand emerging and global market opportunities and technologies and help create strategies to implement within Marriott Digital
  • Report progress against key business KPIs for Digital team and lead focused improvement planning against same
  • Drive a process for prioritization and road-mapping which enables fact-based decision-making, resource allocation and operating efficiency
