JOB SCOPE SUMMARY

 

 

1.     Assists DOMC in executing strategic marketing plan for Malaysia to address hotel/Area needs through PR, media partnerships, media events and brand activation activities

2.     Assists DOMC in securing media exposure for Cluster, Brand and Regional/Area campaigns

3.     Execute advertising plans for group of hotels and Cluster campaigns

4.     Supports Divisional / Regional roll out of brand initiatives through PR, media partnerships & events and local property activation activities

5.     Assists DOMC in execution of plans for destination, F&B, MICE and Wedding marketing  

6.     Assists DOMC in ensuring Area’s marketing budget is in line with set objectives

7.     Assists DOMC in executing/implementing hotels’ / Area’s media plan, including in-bound & out-bound media trips and media visits

8.     Assists DOMC to identify and execute strategic media partnership opportunities and campaigns

9.     Drive participation in relevant hospitality/service related award categories and to achieve set targets

10.  Ensures correct image and positioning of the hotels and Brands by meeting corporate standards in all collateral and advertising materials

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES

 

1.     Ensures appropriate material for all marketing channels and organizations that assists in promoting the hotels/Area to ensure they are well equipped to sell/market the hotels/ Area effectively 

2.     Oversees the coordination of various media, brand and marketing activities and events

3.     Build and enhance local & international media relationships to achieve Area’s key media KPIs  

4.     Liaises with advertising and public relation/events agencies (where relevant)

5.     Conducts regular meetings with hotels’ leadership team and On Property MarCom & MarCom Cluster teams within his/her Area

6.     Provide brand guidance for collateral guidelines and property photography / videography

7.     Provide brand support & guidance for local brand activations at hotel

8.     Assists DOMC in execution of plans for destination & MICE marketing – actively pitch to relevant media as per set objectives    

9.     Assists DOMC in ensuring Area’s marketing budget is in line with set objectives

10.  Assists DOMC in executing/implementing hotels’ / Area’s media plan, including in-bound & out-bound media trips and media visits

11.  Drive participation in relevant hospitality/service related award categories and to achieve set targets

12.  Assists DOMC in proactively communicating Reporting of key metrics to hotels

13.  Assists DOMC in providing marketing insight and support to key F&B marketing campaigns

14.  Fully complies with Marriott International Code of Conduct

15.  Attends all scheduled training sessions and meetings 

16.  Due to cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the organization
