The position of Senior Manager, Luxury Brands is responsible for delivering the global and Europe brand strategy for the W Hotels, EDITION, and JW Marriott brands in Europe. Responsibilities include brand marketing campaigns & partnerships, brand activation & events, content creation, brand culture, growth / hotel openings and brand management programmes / initiatives. As the day-to day contact for the respective hotels and resorts in Europe, this role supports the Senior Director, Luxury Brands in the delivery of the global brand strategies focused on positioning, building brand equity and love, and portfolio expansion. This role acts as a brand advocate in the Continent for the brands, working closely with Operations and other relevant functions to ensure on-brand execution in the hotels. This role collaborates with the Luxury Area Directors of Marketing, as well as the digital, loyalty, and communications teams to develop effective Continent and source market strategies that drive brand awareness, preference, market share and topline performance for the hotels. This role acts as a brand advocate in the continents for the Luxury Brands.
Responsible for the brand management and marketing of the W Hotels, EDITION, JW Marriott brands across Europe.
Brand Strategy & Planning
Responsible for management of the brand marketing budgets, brand planning, and execution for the brands they support.
Delivers global and Europe brand strategy in the continent, including brand programmes, initiatives, partnerships, events and activations for these brands.
Partners with Global Brand teams to align with the global brand strategy and appropriate pull through of brand initiatives in Europe.
Acts as day to day contact for the hotels in the brand portfolios in Europe.
Educates/communicates to the team updates on brand strategy, positioning, voice, strategic pillars and competitive environment.
Brand Marketing & Activation
Working with Senior Director, develops Europe brand marketing objectives, strategy, and programmes for the brands, ensuring alignment with brand, continent, and hotel goals.
Works closely with stakeholders and partners (e.g. Global teams, Area teams, Digital, Communications, hotels) to develop and execute brand marketing campaigns, programmes, and activations.
Works closely with Global Brand Marketing teams to ensure key marketing initiatives are adapted and activated in Europe.
Provides close guidance and approvals to hotels on their brand marketing initiatives and activations to ensure on-brand execution.
Responsible for executing customer-facing brand communications, brand voice/collateral development, photography etc. and ensuring those materials are on brand.
Responsible for developing/nurturing brand partnerships that provide brand equity benefits and enhance the guest experience.
Brand Management & Performance
Pulls through global brand strategies while ensuring alignment to Europe and market specific objectives and nuances.
Responsible for the effective pull-through and localization of new brand and guest experience initiatives in Europe.
Constantly monitors brand performance and develops appropriate actions with the relevant cross function teams to achieve the brand and continent objectives.
Operations & Culture
Responsible for regular brand communication with the field and hotels.
Works closely with properties and (Continent Operations) CLS organization to ensure on-brand implementation of brand operating standards, procedures, and brand operations-driven programmes.
Provides opening brand support for all new hotels.
Builds culture across the brand portfolios in Europe by developing platforms and forums to collaborate, learn, and share best practices (e.g. monthly webinars).
Partners with the Brand Strategy and Continent Sales teams as appropriate to ensure a coordinated Sales approach for their brands and that the brands are appropriately communicated in sales initiatives.
Provides relevant and up-to-date brand information and education to ensure effective sales strategies and customer interactions.
Growth & Development
Available to provide Development with tools and brand information as needed to support growth goals for the brands, ensuring the brand positioning and strategies are correctly communicated.
Works with Development and Residential Marketing teams to provide brand education and help them produce toolkits and resources, as needed.
CANDIDATE PROFILE – KEY TALENTS AND EXPERIENCE DESIRED
Lodging industry experience is strongly preferred.
Prior luxury brand management and marketing experience preferred but not essential.
3-5 years prior experience developing integrated/360-degree brand marketing campaigns across channels and platforms (digital, social, buzz, PR, sales).
Experience developing and managing brand activations and events is required.
Experience partnering with Field teams on communications and marketing is strongly preferred.
Strong team player and ability to foster relationships and collaborate across disciplines.
Candidate will be able to multi-task and work with multiple stakeholders (potentially with different priorities and working styles).
Articulate, enthusiastic, and able to think strategically and creatively to solve the problem – also willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, goal-oriented, and able to deliver under time pressure.
