JOB SUMMARY
 
The Director, Performance Marketing – Asia Pacific (APAC) will lead performance campaigns driving direct channel revenue to APAC hotels and resorts.  Working in collaboration with APAC Digital Media Center of Excellence (COE) team as well as leaders in Revenue Management, Sales and Distribution and Joint-venture partner(s), this individual will deliver the strategy and execution of performance marketing initiatives that deliver business goals.  The individual in this role will have a holistic view of the end-to-end customer experience coupled with the deep technical knowledge related to digital demand generation, media planning, end-to-end execution and analytics reporting for all performance campaigns.
 
This role will be a champion for applying performance mindset and optimization for APAC continent-level and hotel marketing efforts while also serving as the point of connectivity to the global performance marketing leads and in-market field digital marketing teams.  This role will synchronize continent marketing efforts with globally run programs such as Transaction Based Media Program, to ensure maximum return on investment at a global, continent and hotel level. This role will lead the team to manage local and regional affiliate partners utilizing global platform to drive performance for hotels in APAC.
 
CANDIDATE PROFILE
 
Minimum 10+ years of relevant work experience as a digital marketing professional for multinational corporations or B2C brands ideally in Internet sales/ eCommerce/ online marketing in positions that have directly impacted increased online revenues.    
 
Requirements:
  • Deep knowledge of online measurement, tracking methods, and analysis.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English required; proficiency in reading and writing in Chinese or other Asian languages strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing and directing strategic partners / agencies /vendors. Demonstrated relationship marketing skills a must.
  • Agency work experience strongly preferred; primarily in a client services/account services role.
  • Five or more years of managerial experience, supervising and mentoring staff; international work experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience establishing and managing budgets.
  • Proven ability to lead and work with cross-functional teams in support of specific business priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to take complex projects and efforts from conception to successful execution.
  • Ability to solve problems quickly, think creatively, and satisfy Internet speed-to-market requirements.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects.
  • Experience working with associates/ vendors/ customers in remote locations and international markets (multiple time zones).

  •  Define digital demand generation opportunities specific to business needs and priorities based on market conditions and emerging opportunities.
  • Champion performance marketing mindset, media optimization and measurement in APAC
  • Lead change efforts to enable greater accountability and performance.
  • Serve as a key regional stakeholder and connectivity to the global performance marketing leads and COE as well as digital platform teams.
  • Collaborate with brand, loyalty, revenue management, sales and digital leaders to create, execute and report on performance campaigns.
  • Partner closely with agencies to manage team and campaign performance, finding ways to improve returns and test emerging opportunities.
  • Manage demand generation budgets and execute against an annual tactical promotion calendar crafted based on APAC business needs.
  • Manage affiliate partners and key publishers to drive campaign effectiveness and cost-efficiencies.
