As an integral part of the brand, marketing, sales and consumer insights (BMSC) discipline, Corporate Communications is a strategic function, and encompasses the actions we take to influence our external guests, company and community-at-large.  Publicity, promotion and civic involvement are all means to accomplish the goal of enhanced brand and business perception when aligned with marketing objectives, enhanced business.
All consumer PR activities must be integrated into the continent’s overall BMSC plan with a focus on brand communications and the customer loyalty function and must parallel the primary revenue objectives of the hotels/ resorts/ brands and parent company.
The consumer public relations’ philosophy and culture must be paramount in all activities and showcase the strength of our brands. 
To guarantee success in this function, the ideal candidate is above all a leader, team player and strategic thinker. They must have a solid understanding of the travel industry; brand PR and marketing; reputation management; strong media relations skills plus well-established relationships in the media/ social media world; excellent written and spoken abilities in Chinese (good spoken and written proficiency in English); outstanding communication abilities; possess regional sensibilities; budgeting abilities and outstanding planning skills; and the ability to successfully multi-task duties while prioritizing property personalities, marketing challenges and management issues at numerous properties simultaneously. The senior manager of Corporate Communications  must be able to leverage successes to positively influence consumers. 
The senior manager of Corporate Communications is also responsible for the planning, strategy and execution of a holistic consumer Communications campaign.
Education and Experience
  • Formal training in Communications, a university degree or equivalent experience in public relations, communications or journalism.
  • Eight years minimum in public relations.
  • Working experience as a journalist is a plus
    Skills and Competencies
  • Solid knowledge of China media/social media landscape.
  • Solid strategic planning and project management capability. Be able to manage multiple stakeholders and proactively drive for alignment.
  • Travel, hospitality, consumer goods industry or luxury goods background in public relations.
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Word computer programs.
  • Excellent Chinese writing skills
  • Good spoken and written language in English.
  • Is expected to lead Luxury Brand PR within the current corporate communications team and co-lead corporate and loyalty communications.
  • Partner with China brand team/field marketing team to develop and execute innovative marketing communications campaigns to drive brand awareness and consumer preference in China. Key deliverables including media familiarization trip, brand initiatives press conference, media ambush strategy, etc.
  • Design and executive an Always On communications offensive to drive consumer brand preference, including craft press releases and media pitch decks, design creative brand immersive experience to key stakeholders, etc..
  • Lead PR agency to design integrated marketing communications campaign.
  • Owns relationship with key luxury brand stakeholders, such as media, bloggers, influencers. Provides timely and accurate responses when media queried.
  • Crisis management, guide properties to handle issue/crisis, provide trainings.
  • Liaison with APAC Continent brand/communications team and global team to provide China market insight and localized brand messaging.
  • Embraces projects with a sense of urgency with the utmost attention paid to enhancing and respecting the image of the brands as well as the company.
