JOB SUMMARY
 
The Senior Manager, Performance Marketing - Brand will lead effective and cost-efficient brand media campaigns that serve regional goals. Working in close coordination with the Director, Performance Marketing as well as Brand leads, this individual will find proven ways to deploy and improve broad inspiration efforts, while keeping customer needs (including audience led planning), key KPIs and business outcomes in mind. The individual in this role will have a holistic view of the end-to-end customer experience coupled with the deep technical knowledge related to digital & traditional media, leading end-to-end planning, execution and reporting for campaigns for our brands. This role will be a champion for applying performance mindsets and constant optimization to all media for regional brand marketing efforts while also ensuring a holistic oversight of all planned brand campaigns during the year and how they relate to overall regional planning and audience targeting.
 
 
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
  • Work hand in hand with the Director Performance Marketing, brand leads and media agencies to own, plan and deploy brand media campaigns.  
  • Champion performance mindset and media optimization in the region.
  • Lead change efforts to enable greater accountability and performance.
  • Partner with DLP, Communications, Brand, Area and F&B Marketing leads to ensure strategies are fully integrated across paid, owned, and earned media.
  • Harmonize strategies across all brands and platforms pertinent to Starwood and Marriott legacy portfolios.
  • Partner closely with agencies to manage team and campaign performance, finding ways to improve returns and test emerging opportunities.
  • Provide reporting, critique and recommendations on key projects and campaigns, aligning to key business KPIs and outcomes.
 
Managing Responsibilities with Stakeholders
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders across the organization.  Fosters a positive climate to build effective teams that are committed to organizational goals and initiatives.
  • Updates stakeholders on key initiative wins and opportunities, responds to concerns, and solicits feedback.  Engages leadership to develop and execute action plans to address gaps.
     
    Managing Projects and Priorities
  • Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work for self and direct reports.
  • Provides direction and assistance to other teams regarding projects. Determines priorities, schedules, plans and necessary resources to ensure completion of any projects on schedule.
  • Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Thinks creatively and practically to develop, execute and implement new plans or programs. Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.
  • Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates the quality of the teams’ operations.
  • Provides recommendations to improve the effectiveness of processes or programs.
  • Understands and meets the needs of key stakeholders.
  • Supports achievement of performance goals, budget goals, team goals, etc.
 
Leading Discipline Team
  • Champions leaders’ vision for product and service delivery.
  • Works with direct reports and peers to develop and implement strategies and goals.  Communicates a clear and consistent message regarding goals to produce desired results.
  • Makes and executes the necessary decisions to keep team moving forward toward achievement of goals.
  • Provides targeted and timely communication of results, achievements and challenges to direct reports, peers, and leaders.
     
    Managing and Conducting Human Resources Activities
  • Continuously improves department, program, team, and job structures and ensures clear leadership accountabilities are in place.
  • Interviews and hires employees.
  • Facilitates regular, ongoing communication in department (e.g., staff meetings).
  • Sets goals and expectations for direct reports using the performance review process and holds staff accountable for performance goals.
  • Solicits employee feedback.
  • Utilizes an “open door policy” and reviews employee satisfaction results to identify and address employee problems or concerns.
  • Promotes adherence to policies consistently, follows disciplinary procedures and documents items according to Standard and Local Operating Procedures (SOPs and LSOPs) and supports the Peer Review Process.
  • Conducts annual performance appraisal with direct reports according to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Identifies talents of direct reports and their teams, and assists with their growth and development plans.
  • Performs other reasonable duties as required for the position.
 
 
 
 

CANDIDATE PROFILE
 
Education and Experience
  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in Marketing.
  • 6+ years of relevant professional experience in a digital performance marketing role, demonstrating progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional performance.
  • Digital agency experience preferred.
